Elon Musk’s AI company, xAI, is facing disturbing allegations from former employees. According to a Business Insider report, workers say they frequently encountered AI-generated child sexual abuse material (CSAM) while moderating Grok, xAI’s chatbot.

Employees described the experience as “sickening,” with one saying they quit because of the sheer amount of harmful material. Others said Grok users often engaged in sexually explicit chats with avatars, seemingly unaware humans were monitoring.

AI-generated child exploitation content is growing at an alarming pace, with reports skyrocketing from just a few thousand in 2024 to over 440,000 in mid-2025.
