Meta Acquires Manus AI Agent for $2B (Source)
Meta has acquired Manus, the fast rising AI startup whose viral demo earlier this year showcased agents capable of screening job candidates, planning trips, and analyzing investments. Founded by a team with roots in Beijing and now based in Singapore, Manus quickly drew attention for claiming performance beyond OpenAI’s Deep Research, raising $75 million from Benchmark at a $500 million valuation, then scaling to millions of users and more than $100 million in annual recurring revenue.
According to reports, Meta Platforms is paying around $2 billion, matching the valuation Manus was seeking for its next round. For Mark Zuckerberg, the deal brings in a rare AI product already generating meaningful revenue, as Meta continues its heavy investment in AI infrastructure. Meta plans to keep Manus operating independently while integrating its agents into Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp.

Intel will also produce x86 SoCs integrating Nvidia RTX GPU chiplets. This gives Nvidia approximately 4% ownership in Intel.

This "AI vibe check" suggests the industry is hitting a reality check.
World Models: The Next AI Frontier After LLMs and Agents (Source)
World models - which some refer to as video language models are the new frontier in AI, following in the footsteps of ChatGPT and AI agents. They are designed to help robots understand the physical world around them, allowing them to track, identify and memorize objects. The humanoid robot population could reach 1 billion by 2050, Nvidia said, citing a recent Morgan Stanley study.
