Google Unveils Gemini 4 Carbon, Its Most Powerful AI Model Yet

Google has introduced Gemini 4 Carbon, a new frontier AI model designed for advanced coding, cybersecurity, and complex tasks that require sustained reasoning.

According to Google's published benchmarks, Carbon achieves significant improvements in identifying software vulnerabilities, exploiting weaknesses in controlled tests, and fixing security flaws.

The company reports a score of 88.2% on SEC-bench Pro, 54.8% on ExploitGym, and 71% on CWE-bench.

Initial access is restricted to selected cybersecurity defenders and trusted partners while Google continues safety evaluations.

The announcement marks another step toward AI systems capable of handling complicated engineering and security tasks with less human intervention, although broader real-world performance remains to be established. Original source: Google DeepMind

10 Stocks at the Center of AI’s $1 Trillion Boom

AI’s growth story is much bigger than chatbots.

The market was already valued at an estimated $800 billion by late 2025, and continued adoption could push it beyond $1 trillion in the years ahead. That growth will require more data centers, computing power, software, networking and intelligent devices.

But the most obvious AI names may not be the only companies positioned to benefit.

MarketBeat’s free 10 Best AI Stocks to Own in 2026 report identifies ten publicly traded companies helping power the next phase of the AI buildout. Some are established leaders. Others occupy less obvious corners of the expanding AI ecosystem.

This free report names 10 stocks positioned to ride that wave before the rest of the market catches on.

Mistral Opens Access to Its Trillion Parameter AI Model

French AI company Mistral has released the downloadable weights for Mistral Large 4, its trillion parameter model nicknamed Le Chonk. Businesses and government organizations can now deploy the model on their own infrastructure rather than depending entirely on externally hosted AI services.

Mistral is positioning the model for cybersecurity, including finding vulnerabilities, analyzing threats, and helping security teams respond to incidents.

The company claims its model uses 47% fewer tokens per task than competing Chinese model GLM 5.3 in its comparisons, potentially reducing operating costs.

Google Chrome Can Now Use Gmail to Fill Out Forms Automatically

Google is expanding Chrome's AI powered Autofill feature to retrieve relevant information from Gmail when users complete online forms.

The browser can suggest details such as flight confirmation numbers, shipping information, membership IDs, contact details, and order numbers.

Instead of searching through emails and copying information manually, users can receive contextual suggestions directly while completing a form.

Google says the enhanced capability is optional, sensitive information is encrypted, and the rollout is starting with users in the United States.

It is a practical example of AI becoming useful inside ordinary browser workflows rather than operating only through a separate chatbot. Original source: Google Blog

Google's AI Satellite Has Successfully Run a Model in Space

Google has reached an early milestone with Project Suncatcher, successfully running its Gemma 4 AI model aboard an experimental satellite in orbit.

The satellite uses Google's Tensor Processing Units and transmitted its first AI generated response back to Earth, a short poem about space.

The prototype carries four TPUs, although its limited power supply currently allows only one to operate at a time for roughly 20 minutes.

Engineers will now study how the hardware handles radiation and temperature fluctuations, with plans for additional connected satellites in 2027. The achievement demonstrates that AI inference can run on orbital hardware, but economically viable space data centers remain a much larger engineering challenge. Source: Google blog

Microsoft Reveals $10 Billion in Quarterly Revenue From OpenAI

Microsoft disclosed that it generated $10 billion in revenue from commercial arrangements with OpenAI during the quarter ending September 30, 2026.

The figure represents nearly 11% of Microsoft's $92.3 billion quarterly revenue, showing how financially significant the partnership has become.

For its full 2026 fiscal year, Microsoft recorded $24.1 billion in revenue connected to OpenAI.

The company also reported $7.2 billion in outstanding receivables from OpenAI, representing payments still owed rather than additional revenue. These numbers reveal the scale of the financial relationship between two companies that are increasingly competing in the AI market while remaining closely connected. Source: TechCrunch report

OpenAI, Google, Microsoft, and Anthropic Back a Common AI Scraping Control

Four major AI companies have announced support for a proposed standard that would give website owners a simpler way to express their preferences about AI crawling and training. The mechanism uses a shared policy signal in a website's robots.txt file, reducing the need to configure separate restrictions for different AI companies.

Anthropic has already adopted the signal, while Google and Microsoft plan implementation next year and OpenAI expects to follow in the coming months. The proposal comes as publishers increasingly question how their articles, images, and other online material are collected for AI systems.

If widely implemented and respected, the standard could give publishers more consistent control over how AI companies access their content without removing their websites from ordinary search results. Source: inc.com

ChatGPT tightens its rules on violence and weapons for teens

On October 30, OpenAI announced a Community Safety Report on violence prevention that it will update every six months. It also announced new limits on weapons information for teens and tighter handling of questions about past mass attacks. The company said it made more than 200 referrals to law enforcement in the third quarter of 2026. The first report is due in early 2027.

ChatGPT may also automatically end chats with users who seem fixated on violence. With lawsuits and regulators pressing on chatbot safety, OpenAI is choosing to publish its numbers on a regular schedule. Source: OpenAI

Meta Quietly Launches an AI App That Builds Outfits From Your Clothes

Meta has introduced Style Sketch, a new AI fashion application that helps users discover outfit combinations using clothing they already own. The app can connect to Instagram to identify wardrobe items from existing photographs, or users can add clothing through photos and videos. It then suggests outfits and supports virtual try ons using models matched to a user's appearance. Style Sketch is currently available in Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand. The launch shows how Meta is experimenting with practical consumer AI experiences built around visual information and existing social media content.

China’s $480 Billion AI Crash Exposes the Risks Behind the Tech Boom

China's AI and semiconductor boom has suffered a major setback, with approximately $480 billion wiped from the market as the STAR50 technology index plunged 40% from its July peak. The sell-off has been driven by inflated valuations, uncertainty over future AI demand and concerns about potential US export restrictions. Major robotics and chip companies have seen steep declines, while retail investors face significant losses. Despite the correction, the STAR50 still trades at around 100 times trailing earnings, raising questions about whether valuations remain too high. The downturn highlights a growing challenge for the AI industry: turning technological ambitions into sustainable profits that justify enormous investor expectations. Source: Firstpost

Google Brings Its AI Storytelling App Dreambeans to India

Google has expanded Dreambeans to India, making it the experimental app's first market outside the United States. Available on Android and iOS, Dreambeans uses information from connected Google services, including Gmail, Photos, Calendar and YouTube, to create personalized illustrated stories without requiring users to write prompts.

The Indian launch supports 13 local languages alongside English, and selected stories can include animations powered by Veo. The expansion shows Google's interest in more proactive personal AI experiences, although connecting sensitive personal data remains an important privacy consideration.
