Google Introduces Disco

Google has unveiled Disco, an experimental Gemini powered AI tool that turns browser tabs into interactive web apps. Its first feature, GenTabs, lets users convert any open webpage into a structured app with visuals, summaries, and planning tools based on prompts.

Google demonstrated uses like interactive explanations, trip planners with Maps and calendar integration, meal planners, and garden planners. The idea is to replace tab hopping with a single focused app built from existing web content.

Disco takes a different path from AI browsers by layering app creation on top of normal browsing. The tool is launching via a waitlist, with more features planned.

Google Launches Gemini Deep Research for Developers (Source)

Google has released a major upgrade to Gemini Deep Research, making its most advanced autonomous research agent available to developers through a new Interactions API. For the first time, developers can embed Google DeepMind’s long-running, multi-step web research capabilities directly into their own applications.

The upgraded agent runs on Gemini 3 Pro, optimized for factual accuracy, reduced hallucinations, and high-quality report generation. It autonomously plans research, searches deeply across the web, identifies gaps, and iterates until results are comprehensive. Google says it delivers state-of-the-art performance across multiple benchmarks while operating at lower cost.

Alongside the release, Google is open-sourcing DeepSearchQA, a new benchmark designed to evaluate real-world research tasks that require multi-step reasoning and exhaustive answers rather than simple fact retrieval. Gemini Deep Research leads on DeepSearchQA, Humanity’s Last Exam, and BrowseComp.

Early users in finance, biotech, and market research report major time savings, cutting research cycles from days to hours. The agent supports document analysis, structured outputs, detailed citations, and large context handling. Google plans to expand it into Search, NotebookLM, Finance, the Gemini app, and eventually Vertex AI for enterprise use.

OpenAI GPT 5.2 is Out and Partnered with Disney (Source)

OpenAI has released GPT-5.2 after a company-wide “code red” triggered by Google’s Gemini 3. The update prioritizes reliability and performance over new features, improving reasoning, coding, document creation, visual understanding, long-context handling, and reducing hallucinations. Three versions are rolling out to paid users: Instant, Thinking, and Pro, with older GPT-5 models being phased out.

At the same time, OpenAI announced a major three-year partnership with Disney, including a one billion dollar investment. The deal brings licensed Disney, Marvel, Pixar, and Star Wars characters to ChatGPT image generation and Sora video tools in 2026, and expands ChatGPT use across Disney’s internal teams.

OpenAI also confirmed that ChatGPT’s adult mode is planned for early 2026, following deployment of an age-prediction system.

Google Upgrades Translate With Gemini, Adds Real-Time Speech Translation and Smarter Language Learning

Google has upgraded Google Translate with Gemini-powered translation, improving accuracy for idioms, slang, and nuanced language. The update delivers more natural text translations across nearly 20 languages, rolling out in the U.S. and India on web and mobile.

Google is also launching a beta for live speech-to-speech translation through headphones. The feature preserves tone and cadence in real time, supports over 70 languages, and is available on Android in the U.S., Mexico, and India, with iOS and more regions coming in 2026.

The app is also expanding language learning tools with better practice feedback, progress tracking, and support in more countries, positioning Translate as both a translation and learning platform.
