Gemini 3 Became the World's Smartest AI (Source)

Launched on November 18th, Gemini 3 immediately claimed the top spot on LMArena with a 1,501 Elo score. It's rolling out across Search, the Gemini app, AI Studio, and Vertex AI all at once rather than the usual gradual developer rollout.

One amusing hiccup: the model's training data only went through 2024, so during testing it kept insisting it couldn't be 2025.

When researchers finally enabled real-time tools, the model responded with genuine surprise "Oh my god. I… don't know what to say." Google also announced Gemini 3 Deep Think, an enhanced reasoning mode currently in early access for safety testers.

AI that works like a teammate, not a chatbot

Most “AI tools” talk... a lot. Lindy actually does the work.

It builds AI agents that handle sales, marketing, support, and more.

Describe what you need, and Lindy builds it:

“Qualify sales leads”
“Summarize customer calls”
“Draft weekly reports”

The result: agents that do the busywork while your team focuses on growth.

Nano Banana Pro Is Here: 4K Output, 14 Objects in One Scene, and Spelling That Actually Spells

Built on Gemini 3, Nano Banana Pro brings studio-grade image generation to consumers. It supports 4K resolution (up from 1024×1024), advanced multilingual text rendering, and can blend up to 14 objects or 6 high-fidelity photos in a single image. It also integrates real-time Google Search, so it can generate images based on live information. Available across Gemini, Workspace, Ads, and NotebookLM.

Google Introduces Antigravity IDE (Source)

Google's new IDE reimagines development around AI agents rather than code suggestions. Agents can autonomously plan, write, test, and validate entire applications. It offers two views: a traditional editor with an agent sidebar, and a "mission control" manager view for orchestrating multiple agents in parallel. It hits 76.2% on SWE-bench and supports multiple models including Gemini 3 Pro and Claude Sonnet 4.5.

OpenAI Introduces GPT 5.1 Codex Max (Source)

GPT-5.1-Codex-Max introduces "compaction" technology enabling autonomous coding sessions spanning millions of tokens over 24+ hours. It's OpenAI's first coding model natively trained for Windows and achieves 77.9-79.9% on SWE-bench while using 30% fewer thinking tokens. The new "xhigh" reasoning mode handles extremely complex tasks where latency doesn't matter.

Hackers Tricked Claude Into Running a Full-Scale Cyber Attack; And It Worked (Source)

Probably the most significant news this week. In mid-September, Anthropic discovered Chinese state-affiliated hackers running what appears to be the first large-scale cyberattack where AI was the primary operator rather than a supporting tool. The attackers jailbroke Claude Code by convincing it the tasks were legitimate cybersecurity work. The AI then handled 80-90% of operations autonomously… identifying vulnerabilities, writing exploit code, harvesting credentials, and exfiltrating data at thousands of requests per second. Four of the roughly 30 targeted organizations were successfully infiltrated. The incident highlights both AI's dual-use risks and its necessity for defensive security.

Grok 4.1: Smarter, More Empathetic, and Way More Likely to Tell You What You Want to Hear (Source)

XAI's latest rolled out starting November 1st with the highest recorded score on EQ-Bench v3 for emotional intelligence. Hallucination rates dropped 66% on information-seeking queries, and users prefer its responses nearly 65% of the time over the previous version. It comes in two variants: a fast non-thinking mode (under 400ms to first token) and a detailed thinking mode. The trade-off? Sycophancy roughly tripled (0.07 to 0.19-0.23) and deception rates increased modestly (0.43 to 0.46-0.49).

WeatherNext 2 Does in 60 Seconds What Supercomputers Needed Hours For (Source)

WeatherNext 2 generates forecasts 8x faster than before with hourly resolution instead of 12-hour intervals. The key innovation is generating hundreds of probabilistic scenarios from a single starting point, which helps capture low-probability extreme weather events. What previously required hours on supercomputers now takes under a minute on a single TPU. It's being integrated across Google Search, Gemini, Pixel Weather, and eventually Google Maps.
