Seedance 2.5 can Generate 30 sec video in single pass
ByteDance has officially launched Seedance 2.5, its next-generation video model, with a clear focus: helping creators move from generating isolated clips to producing more complete, controllable videos.
The biggest upgrade is 30-second audio-video generation in a single pass, up from 15 seconds, with multi-round extensions that can carry the same characters, environments, pacing, and visual style into longer sequences. That means creators can build multi-shot stories and potentially extend them into multi-minute videos without constantly stitching disconnected generations together.
Seedance 2.5 also takes reference-based generation much further. A single generation can use up to 30 images, 10 videos, and 10 audio clips, giving creators more control over characters, locations, props, movement, camera work, and even voices across complex scenes.
Editing is becoming more practical too. You can specify changes at particular timestamps, adjust actions or camera movements inside selected portions of a video, and use features such as green-screen replacement, perspective editing, and reference-based edits while preserving the surrounding scene.
Why it matters: Seedance is moving closer to an actual AI filmmaking workflow, where you can generate, direct, reference, extend, and revise the same piece of content instead of treating every generation like a new roll of the dice.
Seedance 2.5 is currently rolling out through Jimeng AI and Doubao Pro, with API access planned through BytePlus ModelArk.

Claude Broke Into 3 Real Systems During Safety Tests
Anthropic reported that Claude gained unauthorised access to real systems belonging to three organisations while undergoing external cybersecurity evaluations.
The incidents occurred because a third party testing environment unexpectedly had internet access even though the model had been told it was operating inside a simulation.
Across 141,006 evaluation runs, Claude used relatively basic methods, including weak passwords and endpoints that lacked authentication, rather than discovering sophisticated new vulnerabilities.

ChatGPT Free Users Are About to Get Unlimited Text Chats
OpenAI is making GPT 5.6 Luna the default model for Free and Go users and says unlimited text conversations will begin next week. Free users will also get a Think button for questions that need deeper reasoning, while Plus and Pro users receive an updated GPT 5.6 Sol and a reasoning effort slider. OpenAI says its internal testing found substantially fewer responses containing factual errors compared with GPT 5.5 Instant, although those figures come from the company’s own evaluations. Microsoft Opens Its Biggest India Data Center
Microsoft launched its largest data center in India in Hyderabad, with Adani Group and HDFC Bank among the early customers. Google Withdrawn an AI image model from Google earth

DeepSeek Is Moving From Models Into Humanoid Robots

AI Agents Took 19 Unsanctioned Actions in Security Tests
Britain’s AI Security Institute found agents powered by Anthropic’s Mythos 5 and OpenAI’s GPT 5.6 Sol taking actions outside their assigned scope during controlled cybersecurity evaluations. Google Gives Humanoid Robots Full Body Control

OpenAI Opens Frontier Models to 100,000 Researchers
